... how to recolour fire?

The fires now support SAW (SvS Configuration Widget). With the help of the "SAW Activate (Aim) [SvS]" tool, which an Admin can spawn for you from the "Other" section in the Admin menu, you can recolour the fire in different flame colours or even switch the smoke effects on or off. Information on how to use the "SAW Activate (Aim) [SvS]" tool can be found in chapter 7.6.1. of the manual.
